Richmond Homearama Recap

Hi friends! So last week I was invited to tour the Richmond Homearama homes in Hickory Hill. For those of you who aren’t familiar with  Homearama it’s an event put on each year by Home Building Association of Richmond that showcases several different custom home builders in a particular neighborhood. These custom builders each build one home that really showcases their abilities to build any dream home you can imagine. These homes are also fully furnished and decorated by the area’s finest designers showcasing the latest trends and custom home features. Due to Covid-19 these homes can be toured virtually or by scheduling private tours if you guys are interested in purchasing one of them! These homes are GORGEOUS and these builders also build in various other neighborhoods throughout Richmond so even if this location isn’t a good fit, this is a great opportunity to see the craftsmanship of each builder.

I thought it’d be fun to go through each home and share some of my favorite things from each one! One word you will hear alot is “love” because there is A LOT to love! Let me know which one is your favorite in the comments below!

PerrinCrest Custom Homes

Richmond Homearama Recap

This one was my favorite. It’s hard to know where to start, there are so many things to love. But lets start with the exterior! The wood doors (someone please hold my chin up). Love!

The builder was actually there when we were and it was so nice to hear him describe the aesthetic he was going for. He said it perfectly, he said they wanted to home to put you at ease. To be light and bright and inviting. And PerrinCrest absolutely nailed it. The finishes were nice but the home didn’t feel stuffy.

The kitchen was amazing. One of my favorite features was the white appliances and this really cool butlers pantry that is behind the wall with the stove. It almost doubles the size of the kitchen.

The master closet by Closet Factory is also to die for! I especially love the lighting they installed in the shelving. It feels like you’re shopping on 5th Avenue!

But my absolute favorite feature was the outdoor living space. I’m a sucker for a pool! I love the little garage door they installed leading from the garage to the pool also. Such a great way to easily access all your pool floats!

RCI Builders

This 4,070 sq. ft. home by RCI Builders pulls out all the stops. I love the circular driveway. And the front doors. I really have a thing for front doors if you can’t tell. I feel like the right front door can completely transform a home. I also appreciate that all the large windows. There’s nothing worse than using windows on a house that are too small. When in doubt, bigger is better.

This kitchen is to die for. I especially love the appliances. I feel like they really give this more traditional kitchen a touch of modern. And I love the way they carried the countertops up through to the backsplash. This is definitely a trend that I hope sticks around.

This butler’s pantry in between the kitchen and dining room was my favorite room in the house. The more storage in a home the better, especially when it comes to the kitchen. And I love the built in keg and wine bar.

Another trend I am loving is the zero entry shower. It’s hard to see from this photo but the shower is directly to the right. So with zero entry there is no curbThey slope the floor so that the water drains properly. It’s really cool. And we already know I would be in that bathtub 6 times a day. I love the modern shape.

Another great feature was the 16′ sliding glass doors that led from the living room to the screened in porch. We are talking about renovating the back of our house to make the space feel more indoor/outdoor and these doors were first on my must have list!

Lifestyle Home Builders

This 3700 sq. ft. home features dual luxury master suites on first floor, an expansive morning room with natural light off a huge deck, and so much more!

I LOVE this kitchen. It just had so many unique features. You have to go see the granite in person. It’s gorgeous! And the prep space in the pantry (not pictured) is amazing!

I love the height of the coffered ceiling in the master. It makes the space feel so open and luxurious!

Southern Traditions

I love the front elevation of this one! White exteriors are my favorite. I think we all know that by now! And I LOVE the stone. It gives the house such great texture and dimension.

This ceiling in the dining room was pretty cool. Also love these built in cabinets.

Look at this island! Its huge! I love all the counter space. This is a great entertaining kitchen!

How cute is this little built in room for your dog?! Such a great use of space!

There is just endless attention to detail in this home. The shiplap walls, the coffered ceiling, gas fireplace. The list goes on and on!

Vertical Builders

This beautiful 4,300 sq. ft. Craftsman style home by Vertical Builders has some of my favorite features.

Richmond Homearama Recap

This is my favorite room in all of Homearama. The softness of the floor tile just matches the wood tones and blue cabinetry. Also love the soft gray door color! This room is right off the garage and kitchen making it the perfect place to drop your groceries or store that present you’ve been meaning to take to your sisters house.

This master bath makes me feel like I am staying in the Fountainebleau in Miami. Modern, classy, and elegant. I also love the way they blended these two floor tiles.

A really cool feature I don’t think I have ever seen is this built in wine chiller! See that little hole in the countertop. Pretty cool!

The moody colored office is definitely a design trend I am seeing a lot more of. It’s gorgeous paired with the light wood floor color.

Eagle Construction

They did a great job of marrying modern elements with the more farmhouse style in the master bath. I love all the windows near the bathtub too!
